The flo-blend system has been designed to blend two flow streams easily yet accurately.
The system uses two high accuracy VAF flowmeters, one on the wild flow, and another on the blend flow. The signals from the meters are processed by an intelligent flow computer which in turn controls the blend flow stream sliding vane pump via a variable speed drive.
The flo-blend system has many benefits over existing systems, the flo-blend comes complete with a dedicated variable speed pump, eliminating the need for feed pumps and flow control valves and increasing efficiency.
The flow signals from the flow meters are linearised within the flow computer for greater accuracy.
The flo-blend system can operate automatically on demand; in Start/Stop mode* or in Batching mode*. In start/stop mode and batching mode the flo-blend flow computer is also used to control the wild stream via a two stage closure valve, ideal for tanker loading or transfer to storage.
flo-blend can be easily integrated into existing loading systems where the existing load flow meter can be used for the wild flow signal.
Blend ratio can be adjusted manually at the flow computer or from a remote automation system via Modbus RTU.
flo-blend has a unique ratio of totals correction feature which continuously monitors the volume of each product and trims the blend flow stream to produce a higher accuracy finished blend product
Other features include, display of wild and blend flow rates and totals; no flow, leakage and overflow error detection; logic inputs for remote run and stop; batch permissive input; two user assignable alarms; Modbus RTU communications; 1000 transaction data storage with time and date stamp;
direct connection to serial printer; ATEX approved explosion proof enclosure.
