How It Works:

  2. Reflection: These waves are reflected back by particles or bubbles in the fluid.
  3. Frequency Shift: The frequency of the reflected waves changes based on the velocity of the particles or bubbles. This frequency shift is proportional to the velocity of the fluid.
  4. Measurement: The flow meter calculates the flow rate by measuring the difference between the transmitted and received frequencies.

Advantages:

  • Non-Intrusive: It does not obstruct the flow, as it is typically mounted outside the pipe.
  • Versatile: Suitable for measuring the flow of aerated liquids or those with suspended particles.
