Flowquip offer a range of different types of liquid flow meters for both conductive and non-conductive liquids.
Coriolis Flowmeters - Ideal for solvents, fuels vegetable oils, liquid gas,. extremely accurate and versatile. Coriolis meters also have the capability to measure volumetrically (l/min, m3/hr etc.). Some users will opt to use this type of flowmeter for volumetric flows, rather than for mass particularly, when the process liquid is non-conductive and so precludes the use of electromagnetic flowmeters. A prime example involves ‘tanker loading’. Tankers are generally filled volumetrically to avoid over-filling and spillages. Once filled, the tanker will then be weighed on the weigh bridge to determine the actual mass of the load.
Mag Flowmeters (Electromagnetic meters) - Magnetic flow meters offer no obstruction to flow, making it the ideal choice when it comes to handling slurries, paper pulp, effluent and other conductive liquids with solids content. With no flow restriction, the electromagnetic flowmeter doesn’t increase system pressure which is great for gravity fed and low-pressure applications.
Ultrasonic (Clamp-on) Flow Meters - Typical applications for Ultrasonic flow meters include liquid flow measurement in full pipes, measurement of clean liquids, including water, wastewater, oils, solvents, acids, hydrocarbons and chemical, monitoring and controlling of HVAC systems. These ultrasonic flow metering systems are ideal for applications in which disruption of flow is not an option.
