The Contrec S1200BATL battery is used in Contrec 202D and 214D series Intrinsically Safe Rate Totalisers and Batch Controllers. The battery packs themselves are Intrinsically Safe allowing them to be swapped over in the field without taking the instrument offline and losing valuable production time and process data caused during shutdowns. The batteries are long life lithium cells with a minimum instrument lifespan of 3 years and lasting up to 7 years (dependant on use)
